TERRIBLE STORM IN MICHOACAN MEXICO
The city of Michoacán, Mexico was alerted in October 19, 2009 because the terrible storm come
soon. Then the storm started on the morning October 23, 2009. The people were alerted on
television, and warning on cell phones, but the storm surprised all the city because it started at
6:47am early in the morning the day it was announced on television. It was a terrible day because the
storm caused a lot damage to people houses, cars, trees were broken, and farmers cattle died in the
flood. People were injured and a few died in the storm that caused the flood, many families were
separated. When the storm cleared out they were many ambulance and rescue teams trying to located
lost ones and people trapped in there home. Many people died because they ignored the alert that the
state of Michoacán issued. Three millions of dollars of damaged were caused by the storm, like land ,
livestock, houses, business's, and roads. Many doctors came to aid from other nearby states of
Mexico bringing medicine and other first aid. This storm formed when warm and cold meet and it
pulled up in the atmosphere that create low pressure and wind rotation causing a storm with high
winds and inches of rain. Many people in Michoacán learned that it was better to be prepared and not
ignore warning or alerts from the news.
